Mary Doorley Simboski, ACFRE

Mary Doorley Simboski is Senior Managing Director in Changing Our World’s nonprofit practice. With more than 35 years of experience in development, education, and consulting, she is dedicated to advancing philanthropy as a profession.

Mary’s career began in the 1980s as a campaign director and has since spanned a wide range of roles in faith-based, human service, education, healthcare, and cultural institutions.  Mary has held staff leadership positions, including Reach Out and Read, the National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management, and the Archdiocese of Boston.

As a committed educator, Mary teaches graduate-level courses in development operations, capital campaigns, and planned giving at Boston University and Bay Path University.  She is also actively involved in the fundraising profession, volunteering in many roles for the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  She is currently a member of the AFP’s Ethics Committee.

Mary earned her BA from the Catholic University of America and an MS in Management from Regis College. She resides in Lynnfield, Massachusetts with her husband, where she is a volunteer for Massachusetts Audubon and serves as a Eucharistic minister for shut-ins at St. Mary of the Annunciation parish in Melrose.
