Kevin Allan Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Changing Our World

Changing Our World is excited to announce the appointment of Kevin Allan as its new Chief Executive Officer. Kevin will replace Brian Crimmins, who will step down from Changing Our World after more than 22 years with the firm – nearly 14 as its CEO.

For the past year, Kevin has served Changing Our World as Executive Vice President. Previously, he spent nearly a decade with the firm, where he led some of its largest and most complex client collaborations. In 2005, he helped to launch Changing Our World’s West Coast office in Los Angeles, transitioning to New York in 2008 to build and lead the firm’s global health and development practice.

Kevin is a leader in the nonprofit sector, bringing more than two decades of experience as both a practitioner and consultant. He has headed vibrant development and private sector engagement programs at diverse organizations such as The Culinary Institute of America, Children’s Aid, and Americares.

Kevin will begin as Changing Our World’s CEO on October 2, 2023, with Brian continuing as a senior advisor to the firm.

“Brian has been an extraordinary leader and a great friend, and his enthusiasm for our clients’ efforts to change our world knows no bounds,” says Kevin. “The Changing Our World I returned to one year ago still has the DNA of the firm I joined way back in 2005, characterized first and foremost by an unwavering commitment to our clients. It is a real honor to have this opportunity to lead this remarkable team, and with them, help the companies, donors, and nonprofits we serve maximize the positive impact they can achieve for our world.”

During his tenure as CEO of Changing Our World, Brian steered the firm toward greater collaboration with its sister agencies from across Omnicom’s portfolio of brands; launched and was host of the firm’s popular virtual conference series, Forging Forward; co-authored The Generosity Crisis: The Case for Radical Connection to Solve Humanity’s Greatest Challenges, released November 2022, which reflects Changing Our World’s longstanding orientation toward connection-centric fundraising; and has been continually hands-on in client engagements across sectors. He leaves Changing Our World strongly positioned to help its nonprofit clients win the competition for connection and its corporate clients to authentically align business and social impact strategies. He will join Chaminade High School (NY), his alma mater, as its first-ever Chief Operating Officer.

“Changing Our World has been my professional home for many years and, while I’ll certainly miss colleagues and clients who have become dear friends and collaborators, it is one of Changing Our World’s core drivers – radical connection as the key to progress – that has inspired this evolution,” said Brian. “Chaminade High School has long been part of my personal and professional history and I’m excited to translate this deep sense of connection into a daily focus. As I do, I’m confident Kevin is exactly the leader Changing Our World needs to take the helm of our firm at this important time.”
