Central Catholic High School was established in 1927 and is a Lasallian, all boys high school based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. St. John Baptist de La Salle, a founder of Lasallian education, believed that all people should have access to quality education, despite their financial circumstances. It was with this mantra that Central Catholic embarked on a $28 million campaign in support of scholarship aid, a new STEM education facility, and capital improvements.
In 2014, Central Catholic had successfully solicited and raised more than $17 million. To ensure that this success continued and that the campaign goal was ultimately realized, they engaged Changing Our World to design and implement the final stages of the campaign. Using our data-driven approach, we conducted an in-depth review of the school’s constituents, including a comprehensive wealth screening, a peer review, and an alumni mapping process, which allowed us to systematically identify and prioritize the next tier of campaign prospects. In conjunction, with strong campaign leadership being key to fundraising success, we guided Central Catholic through the process of key leadership identification and recruitment to assist with campaign solicitations.
Changing Our World worked in partnership with Central Catholic to develop targeted strategies for small-group receptions, recruitment of Decade Champions, and various constituency mailings. Through these combined efforts, nearly $24 million was raised.
